Quick Summary
A feed is a regularly updated summary of web content, along with links to full versions of that content. When you subscribe to a feed by using a feed reader, you'll receive a summary of new content from the HEALTH website. Important: you must use a feed reader in order to subscribe to website feeds. When you click on a RSS feed link, your browser may display a page of unformatted gobbledygook. You must follow the directions of your feed reader to see a properly formatted feed.

What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML format designed for sharing web content like news headlines. An RSS service (also known as an RSS channel) consists of a list of items, each of which contains a headline, description, and a link to a web page. RSS is an easy way for you to keep updated automatically on websites you like. Instead of you having to go to websites to see if they've written a new article or feature, you can use RSS to get them to tell you every time they have something new.

How do I use RSS?
To use RSS, you will need a special RSS news reader or aggregator that will allow you to collect and display RSS service. RSS news readers allow you to view the service you select all together in the same place and, by automatically retrieving updates, stay current with new content soon after it is published.

There are many different news readers available, many for free. Most news readers are applications that you download and install. Some others are web-based services you sign-up for that work inside your browser.

To subscribe to HEALTH RSS, right-click on one of the HEALTH channels and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" to copy the location (URL) of the service. Follow the instructions for your particular news reader, and then paste this location wherever it asks for the location of the service you wish to subscribe to.
