HEALTH Announces FluMist Clinics for Healthy People Ages 5 to 49

The Rhode Island Department of Health (HEALTH) announced that the nasal spray flu vaccine FluMist is now available in Rhode Island. Some physician’s offices have received a supply of this vaccine, and several clinics are now able to offer this option to healthy people between the ages of 5 and 49. FluMist is a safe, effective way of preventing influenza, and its application is painless.

FluMist is recommended for health care workers, people living in homes with infants under 6 months of age, people living in homes with pregnant women, and childcare providers caring for infants under 6 months of age.

Where can you get the FluMist vaccine?
