Osteoporosis in Rhode Island

In Rhode Island, among the estimated 41,200 people over the age of 50 with osteoporosis about 32,400 (79%) are female and 8,800 (21%) are male.  

Among the estimated 131,400 with low bone mass and at high risk of osteoporosis in the future, 86,700 (66%) are female and 44,700 (34%) are male.
