May 20, 2005 – In his second “Healthy Dozen” list, the U.S. Surgeon General Richard H. Carmona, MD, MPH, identified healthy eating as one of the 12 tips to keep toddlers safe and healthy. For more about these tips and other “Year of the Healthy Child” program, go to the Surgeon General’s website.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Central Falls has been chosen as a model community to kick-off the Initiative for Healthy Weight’s work with communities. IHW is currently requesting proposals for a lead agency to assist with this project.
