Eligibility
The eligibility requirements for program services are as follows:
To be eligible for all program services, women must:

Live in Rhode Island,

Have no health insurance coverage for the services provided by the program,

Have a family income less than 250% of the federal poverty level, and

Be 40 years old or older, or

Be younger than age 40 and have symptoms suspicious for cancer.
All services are also available to:
- Women ages 65 and over who are enrolled in Medicare but do not have Medicare Part B, and
- All undocumented women, age 40 and older.
Getting Screened
Please call the Instate toll-free Information Line at 222-4324. Program staff speak English, Spanish, and other languages. “Hearing and Speech Impaired call 711”. Staff will ask you questions to determine if you are eligible for program services. If you are eligible, staff will help you locate a participating physician office to screen you, and make an appointment for you at the doctor's office, if assistance is needed. If you need transportation to the doctor's office, staff can arrange this, as well.
