The OMH published the 2006 National Minority Health Month Calendar of Events

Carrie Bridges, Refugee Health Coordinator, became the acting Office Chief for the OMH. The previous office chief, Ana Novais, has been promoted to Associate Director of the new HEALTH Division of Community Health and Equity.

January 9–11, 2006
OMH staff presented at the 2006 Office of Minority Health National Leadership Summit on Eliminating Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health. In a presentation titled, "Building an Infrastructure to Eliminate Health Disparities in Community, Healthcare, Worksite and School Settings", staff presented on the former Center for Health Equity and Wellness at HEALTH during a breakout titled "State Collaboratives to Eliminate Health Disparities". Through Kaisernetwork.org, The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation is hosting a webcast of selected presentations.
