Health Library

The Health Library supports the Rhode Island Department of Health's mission to prevent disease, protect and promote the health and safety of the people of Rhode Island, by providing service that meet the informational, educational, and research-related needs of the health community.  The Rhode Island Department of Health Library is open to the public.  It provides authoritative and current health and medical related information in various formats to its patrons, which include Health Department employees and the general public.

The library is located on the first floor, Room 103 in the Cannon Building. (directions)

Books and videos may be borrowed if you have one of the following items:

• a Rhode Island driver's license,
• a Rhode Island ID card
• or a student ID card.

While journals are not available for checkout, articles from Health Department journals may be photocopied or requested through interlibrary loan at local libraries.
